A common question arises concerning when the processing fee (Fee Code 1830) described on page 16 of the document is required? One practitioner commented on the Internet that they called the USPTO and was informed the processing fee is only required when correcting the inventorship. The fee is relatively small and so I have just paid the fee the few times I needed to correct an ADS (just to be safe). This is an area where explicit guidance from the MPEP (or the document) would be helpful.
